A Son is Born

Dunia gave birth (via c-section) to Simon Adrian Sphere Sinnreich at 5am pacific time on May 21, 2004. Mother and baby are both doing great (despite some pre-birth trauma). Here are some initial photos, courtesy of our good friend Richard.

Dunia is in labor! She's having contractions every 10 minutes or so, and is taking it like a trooper (though she's too uncomfortable to post to the blog). Guess the lil tyke will arrive some time in the next day or so...

Hurrah for Life

Big happy congratulations to Rachel and Tim! They just had a beautiful baby girl named Maya. Hurray! Hurrah! Huzzah! Huzzoo!!!

Up at 2 am again

The fun part of these last few weeks of pregnancy is the being awake at 2 in the morning. Oh joy. And there's nothing on TV and I can't really call anyone so that's even more fun!

I went to a day spa yesterday and got a manicure and pedicure and hung out in "misting room" which was fab. I was eligible for a milk bath but I didn't find out til after my toes were done. I'm a little bummed about that. I've never had a milk bath. I should post these pictures that Aram made. He thinks I don't care about them but the fact is that when I wake up at 2 am I don't really like to focus on anything so that I can sleep again. The more I focus the less I sleep.
