Here is the baby a few weeks ago. This is when I saw it jump and wave! Everything seems to be in the right place and working. I'm sorry I've taken so long, but I've been reformatting my computer and unpacking the apartment. Anything new? Well let's see...
I have officially exited the queasy-and-sleepy-all-the-time stage. Now I mostly get sleepy on nights and weekends and am only queasy when I've forgotten a meal. I have entered the ravenous stage, where I get so hungry that I can't think, but then wind up only able to eat half a sandwich at most.
My friend Gail and I have started going to this great prenatal yoga class in a photographer's studio with excellent parents and babies photos. We always feel beautiful there because everyone in the photos looks beautiful. And the class is tough and peaceful at the same time. My legs, for instance, hurt like crazy right now because we did 26 squats yesterday. Gail's baby has been super active (she's at 27 weeks!) and yesterday it figured out that yoga class is chill-out time.
This week I get an alphafetoprotein blood test which will determine whether or not the baby has any serious defects. I'm pretty sure it'll be okay if that ultrasound is any indication. But I guess it never hurts to double check.
I can feel the little gal/guy moving around in there if I sit still and quiet. It's not quite strong enough yet to really kick hard. But we sing to it and Aram resonates the little baby chamber in there by singing the right frequency. This freaks the baby out a little and it starts to move around a lot in response. I hope this is not a bad thing.
I'm not really showing to the outside world yet, but I feel the little bump growning. My mother said she didn't really show until about 5 months. I'm also losing weight (!) so my clothes still fit me. Hopefully, since I buy most of my clothes big, I will never have to face maternity gear.
Well that's all for now. I will try to be more up-to-date! I can stay up almost until 10:30 now, so maybe I will get more done.
Ciao for now.
